Stephani Fried, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in the field of Counseling and Education for the last 30 years.


Stephani has many years of experience as an independent college counselor/advisor working with the college admissions process. She has particular expertise with highly selective college admissions, pre-medicine programs, theater and performing arts programs, engineering programs, and more.

Stephani's distinctive style makes the most of her warmth and her humor to easily engage with students. Her insight and sensitivity to teenagers provides a unique vantage point from which to inspire and motivate students to achieve their highest potential.

Stephani has been a consultant to High Schools and Colleges on a variety of social, academic, and mental health issues. She has provided training and workshops to both high school and college faculty to improve and innovate educational trends in the classroom and in the community. Stephani has frequently functioned in the role of liaison between students, parents and administrators, facilitating and improving communication between them. She has conducted research on "Class size for optimal learning" and "Homework; quality, quantity, benefits and deficits to reinforcing learning".

She is a member of New Jersey Association of College Counselors.

Stephani holds a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the New School University in NYC and a BA from Rutgers University.
